Head of Production

RENOLIT Ibérica specializes in the manufacturing of flexible thermoplastic PVC films, unicoloured or printed, by means of the calendaring and extrusion process. Specifically for the roofing, civil engineering, and swimming pool sectors. In the swimming pool sector, printed films with decorative designs. In the civil works sector, with the aim of storing liquids, on the one hand, films for drinking water tanks and reservoirs; and on the other hand, to prevent leaks or water ingress, films for tunnels and foundations. Finally, in the roofing sector, there are different product ranges depending on their application.

Your tasks at RENOLIT

The main porpoise of the Head of Production is to lead, plan, coordinate and optimize all activities in the production area to maximize the productivity of the plant, ensuring quality and the safety of the workers.

What we expect

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• Efficiently manage human, material, and technological resources to optimize resource efficiency and minimize waste.
• Monitor and control the manufacturing process. This involves monitoring performance, identifying potential problems or bottlenecks, and taking corrective action to ensure a continuous and efficient production flow.
• Ensure compliance with established quality standards through the implementation of control and monitoring systems.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in production processes and implement initiatives to increase efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Work closely with other departments such as purchasing, logistics, quality, sales, marketing, and maintenance to ensure an efficient and reliable supply chain and align production with market and customer needs.
• Maintain close contact with the safety manager to improve those points that generate a higher risk of accidents. Identify and mitigate risks related to production, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage and develop the production team, providing training, motivation, and direction to achieve organizational objectives. Develop staff training programs based on competency assessment and plant flexibility needs.
• Contribute to the development of the company's overall strategy, providing knowledge on production capacities and process constraints.
• Contribute to achieving the objectives set by management in terms of safety, quality, environment, sustainability, and productivity.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred
• Experience leading a production department, for a minimum of 4 years, in industrial plants.
• Familiar with plastics and engineering polymers

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in the implementation of Lean methodologies in industrial environments.
• Knowledge of industrial organización.
• Analytical problem-solving skills and a mindset oriented towards continuous improvement.
• Important skills: organization, decision-making capacity, team management, negotiation, and assertive communication.
• Green Belt/Black Belt, Engiplant or similar qualification
