New embossing line 5 officially opened for RENOLIT Cramlington Limited

On November 28, 2023, the new embosser, Emboss 5 at our RENOLIT Cramlington Limited site was officially opened. The opening ceremony was attended by Andreas Lang, Chairman of the Supervisory Board and representative of the owner families.

At a cost of 9.4 million pounds (10.84 million euros), the plant is a significant investment for the British site, which has been part of RENOLIT since 2006. The new embossing line provides Cramlington with additional capacity for the Exterior Solutions and Interior Surfaces strategic market units and for new product development for these SMUs.

Dave Hall, Managing Director of the production site, used his opening speech to thank everyone involved: "When you visit the facility, it's clear what the team has achieved here. I would like to say a big thank you to the entire team. This really is an impressive achievement."

The delivery of the machine parts began in December 2022. In the first six months of 2023, the construction of the operating rooms, the installation of the machines and the electrical installation on site took place. Machine testing began in September 2023, followed by commissioning and acceptance.
