Global Recycling Day on 18th March

18 March 2024 – Every year, millions of tonnes of natural resources are used to manufacture raw materials and products. Society is still characterised by a linear economy based on the philosophy of "take, make and dispose". We now know that the limited resources of our planet are not sufficient for a linear economic strategy in the long term. This has led to a paradigm shift in many areas in recent years: Only a circular economic strategy can help to limit resource consumption.

The circular economy aims to conserve resources by using products and materials for as long as possible and then reusing, repairing or recycling them. In this way, we can reduce our dependence on limited resources, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat pollution.

Global Recycling Day on 18 March is an opportunity to recognise the importance of recycling and a circular economy. Recycling is not only a process in which waste products are transformed into new materials, but it is also an essential step in reducing environmental impact and conserving natural resources.

At RENOLIT, we have been committed to promoting a circular economy through various measures for several years:

    • Product innovations: We develop innovative products and solutions that are recyclable and support the use of recycled materials. We also want our products to have the longest possible service life.
    • Resource efficiency: We optimise our production processes in order to minimise resource consumption and avoid residual materials
    • Recycling: We work on the development and use of recycling technologies and cooperate with partners to promote recovery and reuse
    • Circular concepts: We develop concepts for various industries and are committed to closing material loops in order to utilise resources more efficiently and avoid residual materials.

With RENOLIT Goes Circular, we have established processes in recent years that help the entire Group to build a leading position in recycling. RGC supports all areas in the implementation with bundled knowledge and a network of technologies and partners.

It is important that we all make our contribution to a sustainable future. Through conscious consumption, waste avoidance and recycling, together we can have a positive impact on our environment. Let's use Global Recycling Day to reaffirm our commitment and strengthen our efforts to promote a sustainable future.
