Свен Беренд родился в 1968 году в Госларе (Нижняя Саксония). После учебы в Клаушталь-Целлерфельде, которую он закончил в 1996 году, он работал за рубежом на различных должностях, в последнее время в качестве начальника участка в компании Klöckner Pentaplast. В 2007 году он присоединился к компании RENOLIT в Вормсе, где возглавил центральное подразделение корпоративного инжиниринга. После получения степени Executive MBA (Мастер делового администрирования) в 2015 году он был назначен Наблюдательным советом в 2019 году членом Правления. С тех пор, помимо нескольких центральных подразделений группы RENOLIT, он также отвечает за бизнес-подразделения Protect и Composites.
Свен Берендт является почетным членом правления IVK Europe e.V. и совета директоров EuPC. Он также участвует в деятельности VDI e.V.
Помимо профессиональной и волонтерской деятельности, он увлекается велоспортом, гольфом и зимними видами спорта в горах. Вместе с двумя дочерьми и женой он любит готовить и общаться.
