Sven Behrendt urodził się w Goslar w Dolnej Saksonii w 1968 roku. Po studiach inżynierii procesowej w Clausthal-Zellerfeld, które ukończył w 1996 roku, pracował na różnych stanowiskach na arenie międzynarodowej, ostatnio jako kierownik zakładu w Klöckner Pentaplast. W 2007 r. dołączył do RENOLIT w Wormacji, gdzie był odpowiedzialny za centralną jednostkę Corporate Engineering. Po ukończeniu studiów Executive MBA (Master in Business Administration) w 2015 r., w 2019 r. został powołany przez Radę Nadzorczą do Zarządu. Od tego czasu, oprócz kilku centralnych jednostek Grupy RENOLIT, był również odpowiedzialny za jednostki biznesowe Protect oraz Visual Communication.
Sven Behrendt jest honorowym członkiem zarządu IVK Europe e.V. oraz zarządu EuPC. Jest również zaangażowany w VDI e.V..
Oprócz działalności zawodowej i wolontariackiej, lubi jazdę na rowerze, golfa i sporty zimowe w górach. Wraz z dwiema córkami i żoną lubi gotować i spotykać się z ludźmi.
