Thomas Sampers werd in 1964 geboren in Brüggen in Noordrijn-Westfalen. Na zijn studie bedrijfskunde aan de FH Niederrhein Mönchengladbach/Krefeld, die hij in 1991 afrondde, werkte hij in marketing en verkoop bij SCA Mölnlycke, waar hij betrokken was bij internationale projecten. In 1998 stapte hij over naar Ecolab, waar hij verschillende internationale managementfuncties bekleedde. In 2013 trad Thomas Sampers in dienst bij de Paul Hartmann Group als Vice President Marketing International Incontinence. Daarna begon hij in 2017 bij RENOLIT in Enkhuizen (Nederland), waar hij leiding gaf aan de strategische marktunit RENOLIT HEALTHCARE. Sinds 2020 is hij lid van de Raad van Bestuur van RENOLIT, terwijl hij verantwoordelijk blijft voor de Business Unit Healthcare.
Het huidige bestuurslid is getrouwd en heeft twee dochters. Wandelen, bergbeklimmen, triatlon en kitebuggy rijden zijn enkele van de sporten waar Thomas Sampers het meest van geniet. Hij kookt ook en ontspant zich door met Lego te bouwen.
