RENOLIT extends joint venture with APPL Industries in India for 15 years

15 December, 2025 – RENOLIT has extended its successful collaboration with APPL Industries as part of the joint venture APPL GOR India Plastics Pvt. Ltd. for another 15 years. This decision underscores RENOLIT's commitment to the Indian market and our expansion strategy in Asia.

For almost 15 years, RENOLIT has been operating the APPL GOR India Plastics Pvt. Ltd. site in India as part of this joint venture. This gives the company access to the Indian market, which is one of the most dynamic markets in the world. What once began with composite sheets for the automotive industry has developed into a broad product range with a strong team, modern infrastructure, and extensive local expertise.

“India is a strategic growth market for RENOLIT. In addition to extending our partnership, we are also investing in our own plant for membranes for pumped storage power stations. The combination of a new product line, an expanded joint venture, and our own plant shows how broadly we are positioning ourselves in India and the potential we see there,” says Torsten Maschke, Member of the Executive Board at RENOLIT.

Inauguration of the new production line

During a recent visit to Pune, JV partners Inder Jain and Aalekh Jain, along with Torsten Maschke, Ulisse D’Eramo (General Manager of SMU Composites), Andrea Strignano (Managing Director RENOLIT GOR SpA, Buriasco), and Vikram Gandhi (Managing Director APPL GOR India Plastics Pvt. Ltd.) also commissioned a new production line. This line will manufacture “Reapply,” a product solution for the building and construction sector. Special formwork is used on construction sites for building walls and foundations. This formwork is often made of simple plywood and has a limited service life. The RENOLIT coating significantly increases the reusability of this formwork, which means less material usage and greater cost-effectiveness for customers. The product also contributes to greater sustainability.
