Moving On – RENOLIT and WP Energy sign a cooperation agreement on the exclusive marketing of innovative film solutions in the wind energy sector

Worms, March 6th, 2020 – The Worms-based company RENOLIT and the service provider for wind turbines WP Energy have signed a cooperation agreement on the development, marketing and sales of industrial film solutions for the wind energy sector.

RENOLIT has many years of experience in the development and marketing of industrial films for, among others, building facades and maritime applications. With its cooperation with WP Energy, the company wants to aim at a new market: The wind turbine sector. While RENOLIT makes production capacities available for “customized” film products, WP Energy will contribute the necessary industrial expertise and access to the market.

“We are very proud of this cooperation” says Ralph Gut, Business Unit Manager at RENOLIT. “With our film solutions, we always aim to provide innovative approaches and to solve our customer’s problems. And we see great potential for this in the wind energy sector”.

An element of this cooperation is the development and determination of a demand- and market-oriented film solution product portfolio for onshore wind energy. The corresponding cooperation agreement was signed and bundles the competences of both companies.

“Each of the companies sets standards in its area. With our cooperation, we want to reliably identify and satisfy the demands of customers with the quality they are accustomed to” says Michael Finnern, Managing Director of the WP Group / WP Offshore Energy.

WP Energy will exclusively market and distribute the innovative RENOLIT protection films which will be presented shortly. One of these films has been developed for corrosion protection repairs on onshore wind turbines to provide a cost-efficient solution a greater durability compared to conventional coating systems. The film system’s faster application on wind turbines can reduce costs by up to 30 percent compared to conventional practices.
