    What will be your challenge?
As a technician, you perform chemical and physical tests to help to develop new polymer- & other materials based medical packaging films. Your laboratory work will include testing the polymer’s durability and tensile properties -- the product's ability to withstand tension and elasticity. You will work a lot with the following techniques: FTIR, DSC, Tensile testers, Digital Microscopy, Cryo microtomy and further measure COF, Haze, Gloss OTR, WVTR, etc. from the polymer films and coated paper structures that we develop.
You record the measurements and results of the tests and share them with the Innovation and Development Scientists of the Innovation centre.

In addition, you are involved in quality control. Specifically, you test sample raw materials and finished goods for compliance with company, industry and governmental standards. Furthermore, you will strengthen the rather small team of ambitious people at the Amsterdam Innovation Centre. Being part of the AIC also means that we expect you to have a hands-on mentality, to be flexible and prepared to help each other and to do whatever is necessary to get things done.
