PIONEXT becomes new project developer for RENOLIT wind farm: Invitation to information evening
Worms, 29 October 2025 – Plastics processor RENOLIT is continuing to pursue its plans, announced in June 2025, to build its own wind farm in Worms and intends to implement the project in future together with project developer PIONEXT. This marks a change in the project partnership, which had previously been planned with JUWI. The switch to PIONEXT opens up new perspectives for the planning and expansion of the wind farm.
RENOLIT has the clear goal of implementing the planned wind farm as efficiently as possible in order to make a significant contribution to the green transformation of its headquarters in Worms. The decisive factor for the change was that PIONEXT was able to secure more land for the construction of wind turbines, thus creating the conditions for more flexible planning of the wind farm. This meant that feedback from the latest public information events could be taken into account. "We take the reservations and concerns of the citizens and the city of Worms very seriously and are interested in finding a viable compromise. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the local leaders and participants of the meetings that have taken place so far for the constructive exchange," emphasises RENOLIT Executive Board Member Torsten Maschke.
The revised plans for the number and location of the new wind turbines will be presented at an information evening in Worms-Pfeddersheim on 3 November.

The goal remains to supply the Worms site with green electricity
"We would like to emphasise that we greatly appreciate the discussions and cooperation with JUWI to date. The decision is solely due to the fact that we believe PIONEXT offers the best conditions for the successful implementation of our project. Our goal remains unchanged: to supply the Worms site with green electricity from wind energy as quickly as possible," explains Torsten Maschke.
RENOLIT first announced its wind farm plans publicly in June 2025. The aim of the project is to cover a large part of the electricity requirements at the Worms site with renewable energies in the future and thus make an active contribution to climate protection. The new RENOLIT wind farm is to be built on land near the A61 motorway and the B47 federal highway.
The project is to be discussed at a public city council meeting in November 2025. If the wind farm is approved, the city of Worms will propose and push for the area to be included in the regional spatial planning scheme for wind turbines in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region.
