Sven Behrendt 1968-ban született az alsó-szászországi Goslarban. A Clausthal-Zellerfeldben 1996-ban elvégzett folyamatmérnöki tanulmányai után nemzetközi szinten különböző pozíciókban dolgozott, legutóbb a Klöckner Pentaplast telephelyvezetőjeként. 2007-ben csatlakozott a RENOLIT-hoz Wormsban, ahol a vállalati mérnöki központi egységért felelt. Miután 2015-ben Executive MBA (Master in Business Administration) diplomát szerzett, a felügyelőbizottság 2019-ben az igazgatótanács tagjává nevezte ki. Azóta a RENOLIT-csoport több központi egysége mellett a következő üzleti egységekért is felel Protect és Visual Communication.
Sven Behrendt tiszteletbeli tagja az IVK Europe e.V. igazgatótanácsának és az EuPC igazgatótanácsának. Emellett a VDI e.V.-ben is részt vesz.
Szakmai és önkéntes tevékenységei mellett szívesen kerékpározik, golfozik és téli sportokat űz a hegyekben. Két lányával és feleségével együtt szeret főzni és társasági életet élni.
