Our departure into the future
Big changes require bold decisions. At RENOLIT, we have made a conscious decision to take a significant step into the future. With one of the largest investments in our history, we are merging the Frankenthal and Worms sites in Worms, expanding our headquarters in a targeted manner and optimizing our processes. In doing so, we are focusing even more strongly on sustainability - and at the same time creating the best conditions for a strong, future-proof team. We call this Project “Aufbruch” (Awakening).
A milestone for RENOLIT: 130 million euros for the future
At a time when many companies are reluctant to make major investments in Germany, we are moving ahead with determination. With 130 million euros, we are making one of the largest investments in the history of RENOLIT - a real departure, a clear program for the future. We are creating the basis for sustainable and competitive production.
I am convinced that this decision is economically necessary and strategically correct. We are making targeted investments in our competitiveness, optimizing processes and creating the basis for further growth. Standing still is not an option. If you want to be successful in the long term, you have to actively shape change - and that is exactly what we are doing now.
We are joining forces for a strong future
A central part of this investment is the merger of our Worms and Frankenthal sites in Worms. Two plants that are only twelve kilometers apart will become one. This is not an easy step, but it is necessary in order to make RENOLIT more efficient, more flexible and more sustainable. Over the next five years, we will merge the two sites at our headquarters in Worms and expand it in a targeted manner.
In this way, we are creating a more powerful, more efficient structure that will make us more competitive in the long term. By bundling, we optimize processes, shorten distances and make more targeted use of our resources.
We did not take this decision lightly. The Frankenthal site would have required considerable investment in the coming years to keep it up to date.
The question was: do we invest in two locations at the same time or do we pool our strengths at a more efficient location? Our answer is now clear. The joint location in Worms offers significantly better long-term prospects for all of us.
One common location - one future for all
I am aware that this decision is initially a major turning point for our employees in Frankenthal. A change like this is not easy for many.
However, it is quite clear that our employees from Frankenthal are needed. They are a valuable and valued part of RENOLIT and should remain so.
That is why they all get offered a job in Worms. Their knowledge, experience and commitment are indispensable for RENOLIT. Just as they have been loyal to RENOLIT for many years, we are also loyal to them. The joint location in Worms should mean a future for everyone.
Germany as a production location: our clear commitment
This investment is also a clear signal for our location in Germany. While many companies are relocating their production abroad or holding back investments, we are consciously focusing on growth here at home. I am convinced that industry in Germany will continue to play a strong role in the future - if we set the right course.
With this investment, Worms is not only being modernized, but is also being systematically developed as an efficient, innovative location. Here we are pooling know-how, optimizing processes and creating the basis for long-term success. Our clear goal is to position RENOLIT in Germany in such a way that we will continue to be competitive and successful in the future.
Sustainability as a guiding principle: fewer emissions, more efficient processes
The "Aufbruch" project also means strengthening sustainability at our site in Worms - in several respects. Through modernization, we are creating a more efficient, resource-conserving production process that is both economically and ecologically sustainable.
Shorter transport routes, optimized processes and state-of-the-art technologies help us to reduce energy consumption and emissions. At the same time, we are increasing our profitability, because sustainable production is also more efficient and competitive.
Part of our vision: future-proof, innovative and sustainable
For me, this project is more than just an investment - it is a decisive step on the way to future-proofing RENOLIT. We are not just changing structures, we are actively shaping the future of our company.
My goal is clear: RENOLIT should become even more innovative, competitive and sustainable. This includes modern technologies, more efficient processes and a corporate culture that sees change as an opportunity. The consolidation of the sites and the massive investment in Worms are exactly the kind of decisions that are needed to be successful in the long term.
I am convinced that we are setting the right course with this step - for RENOLIT, for our employees and for the coming decades.
Let's set off into the future together!
This step is a big change - and big changes can only be mastered together. With our investment, we are laying the foundations to make RENOLIT successful in the long term. But in the end, it's not buildings or machines that make the difference, it's us as a team.
I know that this change will bring challenges. But I am convinced that we at RENOLIT will master it together - with the courage to break new ground, with the will to develop further and with confidence in our shared strength. Let us shape this new beginning together. Because the future of our RENOLIT is in our hands.
