RENOLIT Healthcare supports Macopharma’s Blood Donor Week & the World Blood Donor Day 2022
2022-05-25 ⟩ RENOLIT Healthcare is living the promise of its tagline “Together Towards Health” by supporting this year’s Blood Donor Week by our customer Macopharma from May 30th to June 3rd and the World Blood Donor Day on June 14th, 2022.
TOGETHER WE PASS ON THE ESSENCE OF LIFE
RENOLIT Healthcare is preserving the essence of life, blood & blood components, with innovative and sustainable polymer solutions. One example are basic materials for the manufacturing of blood bag systems – an area where we are the global market leader. Together with our customers like Macopharma, a globally trusted healthcare partner in bio-sourced therapies, we collaborate to bring healthcare to the next level. Not only on innovations and a product level, but also by supporting their Corporate Social Responsibility initiative:
MACOPHARMA’S BLOOD DONOR WEEK 2022
Last year, Macopharma encouraged their employees to donate blood and was able to count 250 blood donations across three plants – saving an average of 750 lives. This year, our customer set even more ambitious goals: doubling, better tripling, the donations while maintaining a share of 20% first-time donors. To reach this goal, Macopharma invites its wider community of partners, suppliers, customers, and families to donate blood as a proof of collective engagement.
We at RENOLIT Healthcare are happy to support this greater cause and invite all of our employees to donate blood in the week from May 30th to June 3rd, 2022. Please contact your local blood donation organisation to locate the nearest donation center, donate your blood to support those in need of blood and blood components and thereby support the Macopharma’s Blood Donor Week 2022.
WORLD BLOOD DONOR DAY 2022
If you can’t donate during the Macopharma’s Blood Donor Week, you have a second chance on June 14th, 2022 – the World Blood Donor Day 2022. The WBDD is held every year on June 14th and is a joint initiative of the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products. Especially in these troubling times of conflicts, pandemics, and climate crisis, when blood donations are becoming less, it is important to still think of those who are in need of blood infusions and blood components treatments. You may hear it often, but one day you may be the one being in need of such a donation!
Therefore please donate blood and pass on the essence of life.
