Positive response to summer holiday program for children of RENOLIT employees
Varied activities under the motto "Technology meets Teamwork"
Worms, 5 September 2022 - For the first time, RENOLIT organized a summer vacation program for children of employees this year. Under the motto "Technology meets Teamwork", the Worms-based plastics processor offered various activities from August 29 to September 2, 2022, to awaken enthusiasm for technology in young people aged 6 to 14 and at the same time promote teamwork.
The vacation program not only benefited the children: "Six weeks of summer vacation are a challenge for working parents," explains Johanna Schlörit, Head of Corporate Employer Branding & HR Performance at RENOLIT. "We wanted to provide support here and take some of the pressure off our colleagues with this offer."
The program included the creation of an art project from RENOLIT films, excursions to the climbing forest in Speyer and the Technoseum in Mannheim, a visit to the zoo or adventure park in Worms, and a treasure hunt in the forest of Worms. The program was put together in cooperation with the Internationaler Bund Südwest gGmbH (IB) in Worms and the University of Applied Sciences for Management in Mannheim and accompanied by trained pedagogues from the IB. For Annette Preiß, certified pedagogue at the IB, the vacation program is a new project with potential: "Holiday offers on the part of companies are becoming increasingly important. The IB was very happy to provide support here."
The vacation offer was well received by both parents and their children: "Our offer was fully booked in just a few days - this very clearly shows the need of our employees," sums up Markus Blümle, Head of Corporate Human Resources at RENOLIT. "I am all the more pleased that our pilot project Children's Holiday Program 2022 was a complete success. Next year, we would like to expand the offer a bit more."
