The first external RENOLIT innovation webinar
Monomers made from CO2 – How to develop cradle-to-gate carbon negative solutions
October 30, 2024 – How can we contribute to restoring our planet´s balance and transform the way we currently use fossil resources? How can the chemical industry achieve a fossil-carbon-neutral footprint? RENOLIT promotes sustainable development and contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions through several targeted defossilization initiatives. We invite you to explore one specific initiative in the inaugural external innovation webinar of RENOLIT. Join us on November 19th for an insightful session where Paul von Kirchbach (RENOLIT) and Joppe Verbokkem (Photanol) will present pioneering solutions for a sustainable future. Learn how CO₂ and sunlight can power the next generation of sustainable materials. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of the conversation shaping tomorrow's world! You can register HERE.
Webinar Highlights:
- Who are the presenters?
Paul von Kirchbach, Director Global Business Development at RENOLIT Healthcare, and Joppe Verbokkem, Director Finance and Business Development at Photanol, will lead the discussion. They will share their joint vision of manufacturing chemical commodities using CO₂ and sunlight, unveiling how this collaboration on project AIR can transform the chemical industry by making it fossil-carbon-neutral.
- What will they present?
The presenters will dive into the innovative technology that enables the use of CO₂ as a feedstock, converting it through photosynthesis into monomers- key building blocks for a wide range of polymers. Photanol’s groundbreaking work with engineered cyanobacteria and the expertise in polymer solutions of RENOLIT Healthcare combine to create CO₂-negative, fossil-free polymers that do not compete with agricultural resources.
- What is our vision and why should you care?
This collaboration between RENOLIT Healthcare and Photanol represents a long-term commitment to sustainability, with a focus on creating fully circular, closed-loop systems. This effort is particularly significant for the healthcare industry, where the need for sustainable solutions is paramount.
