Renolit UK Limited is a leading manufacturer of high-quality exterior PVC window films and interior kitchen films, dedicated to delivering innovative solutions for residential and commercial applications. We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Development Technician to join our dynamic team. If you have a passion for hands-on technical work, material testing, and assisting in new product development, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

As a Development Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the development and testing of exterior and interior products. This includes performing profile lamination with films, conducting material tests and assisting in the creation of new products. Your work will directly contribute to delivering high-quality, durable solutions to our customers.

Your tasks at RENOLIT

  • Conduct lamination of exterior films to PVC profiles using hot melt adhesives and primers, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Perform grey scale assessments to evaluate colour fade and surface uniformity.
  • Carry out material testing, including mechanical testing, stain, scratch and mar testing.
  • Perform heat stability and rheological testing to assess material performance under various conditions.
  • Assist with pilot trials and new product development, providing technical support to R&D.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results and prepare detailed reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure lab equipment is properly calibrated for reliable and consistent test results.
  • Assist in the evaluation of raw materials, suppliers, and vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability requirements.

What we expect

  • A diploma or degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work methodically in a lab environment.
  • Good organisational and documentation skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
  • Ability to plan, organise, carry out testing work and to analyse results.
  • Self-motivated, inquisitive, and pro-active.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel and work after hours as needed to support trials and customer requirements.
