Senior Management change at RENOLIT Cramlington Ltd.

Senior Management change at the RENOLIT Group’s Cramlington site: Dave Hall took over the position of CEO from Managing Director Dr. Derek Taylorson on July 23. “I am sure that this location will continue to be successful under the new Head” says Michael Kundel, CEO of the parent company RENOLIT SE.

A long transition period will not be necessary: Dave Hall who re-joined the company in 1996 in Product Management, has been Operations Director since 2004 and has helped coordinate the recent extensive investments. In recent years, the location has benefitted from considerable modernisation and installation of new manufacturing machinery. According to Michael Kundel, “RENOLIT Cramlington Ltd. is very important for us, not least because we serve some of our largest markets from there”.

The departing Managing Director, Dr. Derek Taylorson, began his career in Cramlington in 1978 when the location still belonged to the Unilever Group. His work spanned from the research & development department, to product management and on to responsibility for sales of UK industrial products in 1985. In 1995 he was appointed the Director of Sales and Marketing of the then Cova Products. Finally, in 2004, he took overall responsibility for the Cramlington site which has been a part of the RENOLIT Group since 2006.

“Derek Taylorson was a symbol of reliability: He always kept his word and always had the good of the company in mind” said Michael Kundel in recognition of his long-standing manager. The same applies to the workforce: Only a few of the 264 employees did not attend the farewell party for their long-standing boss.
