RENOLIT has officially declared the shapes and colours found in nature as a guiding theme at this year’s Interzum. Since the leading trade fair in Cologne, the trade fair motto for the next two years has been ‘Nature meets DESIGN’. Natural woods and, in contrast, plain colours with supermatt and high gloss surfaces have already dominated the Interzum trade fair stand.
Art with functional strengths
This scheme of contrast reflects the philosophy of the motto: Nature provides the guiding theme and inspires the designers who develop the natural features into new, stand-alone designs. RENOLIT product designer Stefan Zimmermann explains: “We play with cathedrals, knots or tree rings, for example and create little works of art based on nature.” The company combines this design scope with the functional strengths of thermo-laminates, such as for instance, the anti-bacterial property of the films or special protective films.
These special product characteristics are now also part of the product names of 2D PVC films. If the respective RENOLIT ALKORFOL products are fitted with a transparent protective film, they bear the added ‘P’ symbol, whilst the ‘+’ symbol refers to an additional lacquer coating. This labelling makes it easy for customers to see the added feature at first glance. After Interzum, the products will be successively changed over to the new labels; intensified customer communication will also begin after the trade fair.
RENOLIT has presented a new 3D standard collection for Interzum 2015 with approximately 250 stock products as the third innovation for the trade fair, alongside the many new decor developments. “We have substantially increased the stock of our colours and decors in the highlight collection, particularly for the high gloss, matt and supermatt ranges,” says Sales Director, Uwe Maszkiewicz, pointing out the trend towards superior haptics. The collection encompasses the RENOLIT COVAREN and RENOLIT ALKOREN product lines and is planned to run for three years.
New stock collection as a register box
In addition to the expanded and updated product range, the company is also beginning a new chapter in terms of presentation. The new stock collection shifts away from the fixed shelf design and is based on the concept of a business card or register box. It invites users to interact with it, since the decors can be picked out and directly compared and combined with one another – the ideal synthesis of design and service which follows the idea: ‘Feel inspired to create’.
On the very architectural booth (please find more information about it in the press release under this link>>), RENOLIT also once more presents the trend service Colour Road (which has an own Interzum press release under this link>>).
