The simplicity of installing the RENOLIT ALKORPLAN reinforced membranes has strongly appealed to swimming pool installers by making it possible, with a few rolls held in stock, to build all pools, straightaway, even at the height of the season and whatever the shape and nature of the pool that is to be made watertight.
The reinforced RENOLIT ALKORPLAN membranes are sold on 25 m rolls. They are put in place directly on site. Simplicity of use, competitive price and exceptional strength give the RENOLIT ALKORPLAN reinforced membranes very special advantages.

Properties of RENOLIT ALKORPLAN reinforced membranes:

  • they can be hot air welded
  • they do not rot
  • they are resistant to wear, atmospheric conditions, UV rays and common water purification products
  • the application of fungicides and bactericides during its manufacture means that it can effectively counter the development of bacteria and algae
  • it is incompatible with tars, asphalts and oils
  • it is compatible with polystyrene, polypropylene, rigid PVC and polyethylene panels provided they are protected with an anti-contaminant film
  • it is sensitive to acids and highly concentrated bases
  • it is incompatible with organic solvents
  • they are cadmium-free

RENOLIT ALKORPLAN reinforced membranes are installed by using hot air welding technique. The process of installation can be split into the following 13 steps:

  1. Disinfect the base with RENOLIT ALKORPLUS Sanitizer
  2. 2. Fixation of membrane to the walls (using metal sheet profiles or PVC hung profiles)
  3. Installation of geotextile on the walls
  4. Planning and making the cuts
  5. Installing the membrane on the walls
  6. Cleaning the floor
  7. Placement of geotextile on the floor
  8. Installing the membrane on the floor
  9. Lining the steps
  10. Checking the welds
  11. Application of seam sealer on all joint
  12. Silicone sealant
  13. Filling the pool with water
