RENOLIT divests plant
Worms, July 31, 2012 – RENOLIT SE has divested its subsidiary RENOLIT Czech s.r.o. in the Czech Republic town of Most. Effective July 27, 2012, the German company Profol Kunststoffe GmbH in Halfing has taken over the production activities of transparent polyolefin films for office supplies. With the acquisition, Profol has supplemented its current product portfolio and strengthened its international presence. Around 70 people have thus changed their employer. It was agreed that the amount of the purchase price would not be divulged.
Simultaneously with the divestment, RENOLIT exits the polypropylene office supply market. The remaining polypropylene film activities of the affected Business Unit RENOLIT EXTRUSION will be integrated into RENOLIT PROFESSION. The core business of RENOLIT PROFESSION is the production and sales of soft and rigid polyvinylchloride films for technical applications and the office supply market.
As a result, the RENOLIT Group optimizes its Business Unit structure to seven entities as of August 1, 2012.
The Czech plant-based merchandise business for further Business Units were spun-off prior to the divestment and transferred to the newly-established sales subsidiary RENOLIT Tábor s.r.o.
