RENOLIT SE, Worms, is setting new standards in durability and warranty across Europe with its latest exterior film generation RENOLIT EXOFOL PX. Since production started in the spring of 2013, the high-performance film has become established in Spain and Italy already: "The customers are convinced by our new technical standard and accordingly satisfied," Product Manager Franz-Josef Weber concludes. Practice has confirmed this year's trade show motto of "RENOLIT. Just relax".
Due to its longer service life, RENOLIT EXOFOL PX is offered with a warranty of up to 15 years in the Northern and Middle-European countries; in Southern European countries such as the states adjacent to the Mediterranean, the warranty is offered for 10 years. Among others, the new product meets the requirements according to RAL-GZ 716, surpassing all industrial standards in almost all test criteria.
The technical progress of RENOLIT EXOFOL PX comprises of a polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) film with a new, highly efficient UV absorber and a further-developed basic film containing a copolymer and produced without plasticisers. This prevents the interaction between plasticiser and UV absorber, enabling them to unfold their full effect. The transparent PMMA film, protecting both the printing ink and the basic film, thus increases weather resistance and extends the film's service life.
Heat build-up reduced even further
On the other hand, the Solar Shield Technology (SST) has been developed further. This reduces heat build-up again and thus also lowers the temperature differences between the outer and inner profile surfaces. Optimised colour pigments also ensure a much higher colour stability.
In addition to the product characteristics, RENOLIT also improved processabiltiy of the new film. The back side of the basic film carries a primer for uncomplicated processing of all RENOLIT EXOFOL films on one machine with the same adhesive. A suitable glue system is required to use this benefit.
25 colours and woodgrains
The range for RENOLIT EXOFOL PX comprises 25 Classic and Premier woodgrains, solid colours and surfaces in total. The offer of solid colours comprises a total of ten shades of grey and green, as well as cream and white. Among the woodgrains, there are popular designs such as Sherwood G, Golden Oak, Piedmont A and classic dark mahoganies as well as preferred trend patterns (Siena, Winchester, Teresina, Wisconsin). The company wants to improve its overall offer again in the course of this year.
The RENOLIT Group is an international leader in the manufacture of high-quality plastic films and related products for technical applications. This independent family-owned business, which has been setting benchmarks for quality and innovation for over 65 years, now employs a workforce of approximately 4,500 employees at more than 30 production sites and sales entities.
