Independent and family-owned, the company has been setting the standards in terms of quality and innovation for 60 years. Presently, the RENOLIT AG employs approximately 4,000 employees at 30 production sites and sales companies. Internationalization of the core business Jakob Müller founded the company in Worms in 1946 and started out by manufacturing films for furniture upholstery and office supplies. Already ten years later, RENOLIT made its first stride towards the European market by forming a Spanish subsidiary. The internationalization initiated back then has been consistently pursued by the executive management ever since and always with a focus on film manufacture - our core business. Among others, a production site was established in the U.S.A. in the late nineties. In April 2006, RENOLIT AG integrated the Industrial Foils Business of SOLVAY S.A., Bruxelles, into the company group. This enabled the company to expand its product portfolio into new application areas as well as to increase its production- and research competence. The newly acquired product categories were put into three new sales divisions: RENOLIT MEDICAL, RENOLIT WATERPROOFING and RENOLIT AUTOMOTIVE. Films for many different industries RENOLIT AG film products are further processed to decorative and rugged end products by numerous industrial branches. They are processed to e.g. surfaces of office, living room and bedroom furniture, decorative design elements for shops and fair exhibition stands, plastic window profiles and other house building elements. The products make up the base materials for sealing products for the construction industry, for advertising products and items for office organization, for different packaging- and medical products, for interior decorating components for vehicle construction and for many other products and applications.
