Solar eclipse, neon signs at night, the polar lights – the most interesting colours are often only seen at night. Because even black is not just black and some colours are even more magnificent in the dark. For this reason, Monika Fecht and Verena Becker from RENOLIT SE’s Corporate Design Management as well as the French designer R.C.M. have purposely narrowed their perspective and only looked where the sun does not shine.
Within the scope of trend service Colour Road, RENOLIT also presents colour trends of the year, offers information on the development of colours and supplies new ideas for trendy décor and colour combinations. “With Colour Road, we help customers and other interested parties keep pace with today’s rapidly changing style worlds. Because the right prediction of future colour and design trends is crucial for the market success of products”, says Monika Fecht, the Head of Corporate Design Management at RENOLIT SE.
In 2014/2015, three colour concepts have evolved: Transit Lights, Urban Lights and Polar Lights. Transit Lights opens up a large palette of different white, grey and black tones. With subtle colour nuances, glitter particles or subdued patterns, new designs and decors are created which are simultaneously highly modern and timelessly classical. In Urban Lights, ochre, red, rust and brown tones run into each other. Used as accent colours, warm copper tones, reddish-brown tones, curry and amber create areas full of warmth and atmosphere. Polar Lights, on the other hand, with acidic lime tones, deep aquatic blues, turquoise and teal tones represent the cosmic spectacle. Shades of peacock’s feathers, fern green, seaweed, verdigris, volcanic rock or mud stimulate the senses.
