Prevention saves lives
RENOLIT sponsors bowel cancer campaign “Save 1,000 Lives”
RENOLIT supports “Save 1,000 Lives”, an initiative by the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan region to avoid bowel cancer. Bowel cancer is a cancer with the highest number of annual diagnoses and the second highest cause of death after lung cancer. In the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan region, in which RENOLIT is located, significantly more than 2,000 people per year are diagnosed with bowel cancer and more than 750 die as a result. If just half of the target group are reached by the “Save 1,000 Lives” initiative, more than 1,000 lives will have been saved after three years.
Participating companies and organizations receive a questionnaire for their employees and their relatives. Following evaluation of the questionnaires, employees who are deemed to be at greater risk of bowel cancer can undergo screening.
