RENOLIT is a member of the association “Zukunft Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar e.V. (ZMRN)”. The objectives of the ZMRN are to make the metropolitan region to one of the most attractive and competitive regions in Europe by 2015. As a member, RENOLIT is part of an active regional network whose objectives are to make the region even more attractive and economically powerful.
Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region – An Economic Powerhouse
The Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region is located at the intersection of the Federal States, Baden-Württemberg, Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate. Its economic strength is manifested by the 134,000-plus companies, 790,000 employees and a gross added value of around EUR 64 billion (2006). Helped by an excellent infrastructure which enables rapid access to global markets, companies in the region exported 57 % of their products to all corners of the world. Furthermore, the largest cluster of chemical companies in Europe is also in the region and along with Munich and Berlin is one of the three leading Life-Sciences locations in Germany.
