As a leading manufacturer of high-quality plastic products, RENOLIT is particularly committed to the subject of sustainability and is fully aware of its responsibilities to people and the environment. As a result, in the past, the family-owned company distributed a sustainability report internally to inform all employees about the Group’s diverse sustainability activities and of the progress made.
With the first-ever external publication of its 2016 Sustainability Report, RENOLIT is making a clear commitment to increasing demands for transparency. Because of the company’s numerous international locations, the report is available in seven languages so that all stakeholders around the world can access an overview of the company’s sustainability Performance.
As part of an external stakeholder survey and an internal workshop, RENOLIT revised its materiality matrix at the beginning of 2016 and re-prioritized its sustainability topics. This was based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. RENOLIT contributes to a total of eleven sustainability objectives of which six are classified as particularly relevant.
RENOLIT also expanded its databases in the reported year and for the first time thus reports in accordance with the latest standards of the globally-recognized Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Compliance with the reporting option “Core” was confirmed by the GRI’s assurance service.
