Vinyl 2010 is the legal entity created in 2000 to implement a ten-year voluntary programme for Sustainable Development by the whole of the European PVC industry, involving PVC manufacturers, PVC additive producers and PVC converters.
It is recognised globally as being a unique example of a partnership initiative by all of the players in a single product value chain and has been recognised as a Partnership for Sustainable Development by the United Nations.
It has a clear set of targets set out in the European PVC Industry's Voluntary Commitment (covering projects, initiatives and research studies primarily concerning environmental protection and resource management); has an independent monitoring committee; and publishes a report each year on its progress.
RENOLIT CEO Michael Kundel is highly committed as he holds a responsible position as Board Member within the Vinyl Foundation. In addition, RENOLIT assumes its financial responsibility to the full extent and makes its know-how available to the initiative.
