"FIS" Film Woodgrain film for PVC, fiberglass, wood and aluminum profiles in interior environments FIS is available in woodgrain prints or solid colors. It it a two-ply, semi rigid PVC film. The printing ink is sandwiched between a clear PVC top ply and a color specific, opaque PVC bottom ply. Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) is the most frequently specified of all thermoplastic materials. It has been used successfully for over 30 years in building products. PVC is characterized by high physical properties and resistance to corrosion and chemical attack by acids, alkalies, salt solutions and many other chemicals. It is attacked, however, by polar solvents such as ketones, some chlorinated hydrocarbons and aromatics. PVC can be extensively formulated to make it process into finished products and to provide it with desirable final properties. It can be pigmented, heat stabilized, impact modified, softened (plasticized) and fortified to resist mold. | PROPERTIES | STANDARD TEST METHOD | TYPICAL VALUES | | Thickness | DIN 53353 | 200 µm ± 10% | | Tensile Strength | DIN 53455 | MD: ≥ 20 N/mm² CD: ≥ 18 N/mm² | | Elongation at break | DIN53455 | MD: ≤ 100% CD: ≤ 100% | | Abrasion resistance | DIN 54021/54002 | Grade 5 | | Scratch resistance | Erichsentester 435 | ≤ 20 cN | | Embossing stability | RENOLIT | ≥ 80°C | | Shrinkage (10 min, 60°C) | DIN 53377 | ≤ 2.5% | | Permanent temperature resistance | RENOLIT | ≥ 65°C | | Weatherability | DIN 53387 | Permitted total irradiation ≤ 14.5 GJ/m² (Xenontest 450) grade 3 on the gray-scale (DIN EN 20105 A 02) | | Chemical resistance | N/A | Resistant to normal household cleansing agents e.g. Ammonia water, aliphatic benzene, rubbing alcohol, cleansing-agents (non-abrasive), building materials e.g. cement, gypsum .
