Films by Plasticizer Type

Since the addition of a plasticizer to vinyl compounds is necessary to provide the required degree of flexibility, and since each type of plasticizer affects the durability of vinyls differently, the intended end use of the self-adhesive film product should determine which plasticizer system should be selected. Film products intended for exterior applications, for example, require a more durable and costly plasticizer system than do films for interior environments.

Monomeric Plasticizer (Intermediate) Films
Monomeric plasticizer vinyl films for indoor and short-term outdoor applications include labelstock and sheet markets, plotter (computer-cut) graphics (e.g. exhibition booth displays) and some digital printing. Available in a wide range of colors, these films are offered in high gloss and matte surface finishes, gauges from 2.8 to 6 mil, and widths from 40 to 72 inches. All are custom made and not available from inventory.

Blended Plasticizer (High Grade) Films
Blended (polymeric and monomeric) plasticizer system vinyls for adhesive-coating are formulated for outdoor applications. Available in a wide range of colors, these films are offered in high gloss, semi gloss and low gloss surface finishes, gauges from 2.8 to 6 mil, and widths from 40 to 72 inches. All are custom made and not available from inventory.

Polymeric Plasticizer (Premium) Films
RENOLIT's polymeric vinyl films for adhesive-coating are formulated for demanding applications such as back-lit signage, products such as gas-tank decals that are intended for high-solvent environments, and high-solvent ink-jet printing. 2.4 Mil high gloss pigmented polymeric vinyls are also available for plotter (computer-cut) applications that require cast-like conformance and secure adherence to irregular as well as flat surfaces.
