Bedroom and Living Room Furniture
Bedroom and living room furniture represent a large and fast-growing residential furniture application for thermoforming film.

RENOLIT film is most often specified for residential furniture applications to better resemble the solid wood components that veneers are typically intended to simulate, while improving long term durability and reducing manufacturing costs.

Because veneers bend only in one direction, they can restrict the shape of furniture components to be surfaced, require edge bands and expose telltale seams, whereas components to be membrane pressed with RENOLIT film can be routed into virtually any three-dimensional shape attainable with solid wood, and surfaced without seams.

And unlike shaved veneers, RENOLIT highly realistic woodgrain films offer the same quarter-sawn grain patterns as components machined from solid hardwoods, while eliminating lot-to-lot staining variations inherent with natural products.

RENOLIT film also offers greater durability than soft veneers and is offered in vertical grade as well as scratch- and mar-resistant horizontal grade for high-wear surfaces—in a wide range of matching patterns and colors.

As importantly, every visible surface of residential furniture can be surfaced with RENOLIT film—from cabinet frames and raised panel doors to sharp-edged drawer fascias and elaborate trim pieces—using a variety of efficient production methods including membrane pressing, post forming, flat laminating, miter folding and profile wrapping.

Vendor Referral Program

If your current sources do not yet offer the equipment needed for CNC routing, membrane-pressing, miter-folding or profile wrapping, RENOLIT can provide a list of well-equipped vendors that do.
